Amalfi Coast - Italy

The Amalfi Coast lines the shores of the Gulf of Sorrento in southern Italy.  The area’s impossibly steep slopes plunge from the 4,500-foot ridgelines of the Lattari Mountains, supporting a series of small towns that hug the coast and climb the hillsides.  Before there were roads connecting the towns, there was an intricate network of trails that is still used by locals and an increasing number of adventurous visitors; this network of trails offers nearly unlimited hiking opportunities.
