Aravaipa Canyon Wilderness - Arizona, usa

Aravaipa Canyon is an 11-mile long winding oasis in southeastern Arizona.  Aravaipa Creek flows through the canyon, creating lush riparian habitat for many species of wildlife.  Portions of the canyon can be day-hiked, but a two-to-three day backpacking trip is the ideal way to experience the wildness of this unusual canyon.
