Glacier National Park - Montana
Glacier is a strikingly beautiful and ecologically significant national park that makes it a favorite of many national park visitors. It’s often called the “Crown of the Continent.” But it’s a sad commentary that the park is changing before our eyes — in a human time scale — due to advancing climate change. What an irony that the park is losing its namesake feature, its iconic glaciers, projected to melt away within the next few decades. Of course, this means that we should do what we can to address this issue, including reducing our carbon emissions. But we should also hike the park to appreciate and bear witness to all that is good about this storied national park. We recommend and describe six hikes that will allow you to deeply appreciate this park.
