Great Smoky Mountains National Park - North Carolina and Tennessee

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a land of superlatives.  As part of the great Appalachian Mountain Range, the Smokies are among the oldest mountains on earth, once as high as the present-day Alps and Rockies.  Natural forces have eroded, sculpted, and rounded them into the more gentle landscape we see today.  The park is the most biodiverse of all the US national parks.  We recommend and describe six hikes that will allow you to deeply appreciate this park.
