Joshua Tree National Park - California

Located in the vast deserts of southeastern California, Joshua Tree National Park is an especially large park.  The namesake feature of the park is the dramatic Joshua tree, found in great forests, primarily in the Mojave Desert portion of the park.  Other park attractions include striking granite rock formations, several oases of native fan palms, six mountain ranges, exemplary desert vegetation and wildlife, and a rich human history.  We recommend and describe six hikes that will allow you to deeply appreciate this park.
