KING LUDWIG'S WAY - Germany
Walkers on the 80-mile King Ludwig’s Way celebrate the life of Bavaria’s eccentric King Ludwig (the “Dream King"), who mysteriously died at age 40. The route is gently rolling and connects a series of rural towns offering food and lodging as well as gorgeous Baroque churches and the remarkable Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein Castles.
