KUNGSLEDEN - Sweden
Located north of the Arctic Circle in Sweden, the “national trail” of Sweden is remote, but dotted with Swedish Tourist Federation huts that offer beds, cooking facilities, the company of other adventurers, and the occasional and welcome sauna. The trail traverses vast areas of dramatic arctic tundra, big lakes (crossed by rowboats), and northern forests. Though the trail is 270 miles long, most hikers walk only the more dramatic northern half of the trail.
