LONG TRAIL - Vermont, USA

The first long-distance trail in the US, the Long Trail runs 273 miles along the ridge of the Green Mountains in Vermont – from Massachusetts to Canada – and connects the highest peaks in the state.  Rugged and challenging, the route is dotted with primitive 3-sided camping shelters – or one can leave the trail for charming B&Bs in surrounding towns.
