Yosemite National Park - California

Of course, most people have heard of Yosemite, but may not be fully conversant with its remarkable convergence of natural features.  Seven-square-mile Yosemite Valley includes five-thousand foot nearly vertical walls of granite, old-growth forests, the wild and scenic Merced River, iconic Half Dome and El Capitan, and several of the world’s highest and most dramatic waterfalls.  The surrounding High Sierra features 13,000-foot peaks, an abundance of cold mountain steams and lakes, three groves of ancient sequoias, lush meadows of wildflowers, and the colorful history and philosophy of John Muir.  We recommend and describe six hikes that will allow you to deeply appreciate this park.
